Will an iPhone 11 case fit an iPhone 12?

With this year’s new iPhone series release comes a big change in the way they look and feel. There are many new features but the most obvious one has to be the design.

Apple has done away with the soft and curved edges that were on the iPhone X, XS, XR, 11 and 11 Pro. The iPhone 12 series now offers a flat edge that is very similar to past models such as the iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S and the original SE. With this is mind, many old cases will not be compatible with the iPhone 12 series.

The iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 have similar screen sizes; however, the design of the iPhone 12 is different so the case for an iPhone 11 will not fit it. The fit will appear loose and the buttons do not line up with the ports in the case. This is all down to the new style and design of the iPhone 12. So put super simply, an iPhone 11 case will not fit an iPhone 12.

What if you want a case for your iPhone 12?

The best advice for this is to purchase yourself a new case specifically designed and made for the iPhone 12. As an iPhone 11 case will simply not fit, you’re going to have to find and buy a new one. You’ll also need to realise that an iPhone 12 case will not fit an iPhone 12 either. Being both different designs, the cases are different dimensions.
